THE OPIOID BILL ENABLES ACCESS TO MEDICAL CANNABIS FOR HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF ILLINOIS RESIDENTS. HERE’S A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:
Be an Illinois resident over the age of 21
Be Have an Illinois driver’s license or State ID
Licensed physicians must certify the qualifying patient has a medical condition for which an opioid has been or could be prescribed based on generally accepted standards of care.

Once your doctor has uploaded your certification, you can go to the Illinois Department of Public Health Website and register or you can come to PDI Medical for assistance. All registrations must be online and you must have a valid email address. Registration is $10. Your registration is good for 90 days but can be renewed. Renewal will require that you visit your doctor and receive another certification. You can begin the renewal process 30 days before expiration.
You can complete the applications yourself here. If you come to PDI MEDICAL for assistance please bring your ID and proof of address. You will also need a passport style photograph and PDI Medical can assist you with that at no charge. Once registered, you will receive an email from the IDPH with your registry information.
