Buffalo Grove Medical Cannabis Dispensary to Open Soon – Daily Herald
The Daily Herald reported on the state of the Illinois medical cannabis industry yesterday with an update on dispensaries opening in Chicago and the suburbs in Lake and McHenry counties. PDI Medical’s COO Joe Friedman was featured, telling the reporter that the Buffalo Grove medical cannabis dispensary will open soon.
He also discussed the importance of making sure that customers feel comfortable when they purchase medical cannabis as a treatment option.
From the Daily Herald article:
Friedman said part of having a successful dispensary will mean helping new customers be comfortable walking into a store to buy a drug that’s been illegal for decades. He said he doesn’t plan to emulate Colorado dispensaries geared toward recreational users that can feel intimidating.
“It doesn’t really deliver a health care feeling,” he said.
Cold and clinical isn’t the feeling either. PDI Medical’s pharmacist staff members and product specialists listen to each patient to develop a holistic, integrative medical treatment plan based on their unique history and profile. They know that cannabis is a drug, and discuss patients’ health history and current prescriptions to advise on products and dosages that will be safe and improve their quality of life.
